This is a great place for good drinks, great music and some late nights snacks. If you are looking for a gay friendly place to stay, the Quay Hotel is a high standard option. Situated by the banks of the Tonle Sap river, you find the haven of tranquility known as the Quay Hotel. Staying here means being close to the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda and the bustling area with shops, bars and galleries. The Rainbow Bar is a relatively new bar under gay management. The bar can be found near the National Museum and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The Empire is one of the most popular restaurants and bars catering for a gay and lesbian audience. Located close to the Phnom Penh riverside this bar is a small but unique place to go for a fun evening. Khmer food and western specials can be enjoyed here as well as a wide selection of wines, coffees and cocktails. The Empire even has a small movie theater at its top floor, in which movies can be watched from the comfort of a cinema bed.
